    Behavioural change interventions for sustained trachoma elimination

    Summary

    The Surgery, Antibiotics, Facial Cleanliness, Environmental Improvement (SAFE) strategy is endorsed by WHO for the elimination of blinding trachoma. This perspective considers behavioural change interventions related to the facial cleanliness and environmental improvement components of the SAFE strategy and proposes what should be done in the absence of clear evidence for facial cleanliness and environmental improvement programming.
