Summary

To measure the spectacle use and the quality of life gained by vision correction and use of spectacles; to analyse the costs and cost drivers of vision screening in integrated school health programmes; and to analyse the budget requirements for sustaining and extending the intervention to other geographical locations.

Improved knowledge on the cost and affordability of school health programmes and estimating the impact of these programmes will support better programming and advocacy.
