Older people with disabilities in Karamoja, Uganda have high healthcare needs, but little is known about how they access health services or effective strategies to improve their access. In this paper, we use a positive deviance approach focused on successful care seekers to identify strategies that may help improve access among this group. The aim of this study was to explore journeys to access eye health services of older people with disabilities in two districts in Karamoja, Uganda, using Levesque’s conceptual framework of access to health care to situate and describe the findings.
