This editorial from two of Sightsavers’ board members highlights the role of International NGOs (iNGOs) in research. Beyond implementing programmes, iNGOs increasingly contribute to research, leveraging their presence and collaborations with partners on the ground, including academic institutions. Srengthening research capacity and fostering the use of data and evidence generated by iNGOs is importand and will ensure better decision-making and better outcomes for everyone, especially in the world’s most challenging settings.
